With the EX-6685 you can extend from one USB 3.0 and or FireWire 1394B port to four USB 3.0 and FireWire 1394B ports. It’s possible now to connect up to four external USB 2.0 / 3.0 and FireWire 1394B peripherals devices to one USB 3.0 or FireWire 1394B port from the Notebook or Desktop Computer. He it’s very compact and robustly. The EX-6685 you can fix to the wall or optional you can install the EX-6685 with the product EX-6099 (DIN-Rail-Kit) in a 19 inch Rack.

The EX-6685HMV provides two hubs in one housing. This means that to use the USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, the EX-6685HMV must be connected to the PC via USB cable. If you want to use the FireWire 1394B ports, you have to connect the EX-6685HMV via FireWire to the PC! It is not possible to control all downstream ports only via USB or only via FireWire upstream port!
